Exporting Kiwi Culture - Marco Kerkmeester

LANZBC members and friends are invited to catch up over drinks and hear from Marco Kerkmeester, co-founder of Santo Grão Café, a Brazilian coffee roaster / retailer and café bistrot chain based in São Paulo, about what it takes to be a successful Kiwi entrepreneur in Brazil.

Starting in 2003 with a single location in São Paulo’s famous Rua Oscar Freire, Santo Grão has grown to employ over 300 people and achieve annual revenues exceeding $20M. Santo Grão is often voted as the “Best Café of Brasil” and has several times been included among Os Melhores (The Best) by Brazil’s leading magazine Veja. Marco frequently appears on Brazilian television and print media as a specialist in the coffee industry and representing Santo Grão’s unique personnel management philosophy.
