LANZBC welcomes revived CPTPP negotiations

The Latin America New Zealand Business Council welcomes the revived negotiations on the trade deal now known as the Comprehensive Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

Matthew O’Meagher, President of the LANZBC commented:

“The CPTPP will give New Zealand new access to significant markets, including Mexico and Peru, which will diversify the options available to New Zealand’s exporters, open new markets for goods and services trade and encourage investment aimed at other economies.

Because it includes Latin American parties, too, this deal can help New Zealand position itself as a business and cultural hub between that region and Asia. As such, the LANZBC welcomes the continued negotiations and looks forward to supporting the New Zealand Government as it progresses this deal.”
